Rangers fans delighted as Morelos scores first Colombia goal

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been scoring for fun at club level this season with 22 goals to his name already – and he has finally broken his duck at international level after hitting a winner for Colombia in a 1-0 win over Peru, leaving Gers fans delighted.

El Buffalo is only just starting to make an impression for his country and his 93rd-minute winner is another big milestone in the 23-year-old’s career.

Morelos headed the ball home after a melee in the penalty area, seeing the ball trickle over the line before darting off for his now customary celebration.

After seeing off Peru in Miami, the Colombians play Ecuador in New Jersey next before Morelos returns to Scotland and grabbing his first goal for his country will give him even more confidence.

Colombia boss Carlos Queiroz had admitted that Morelos was especially confident before the game, and it can only continue to help him improve.

Everything he does just now seems to come up roses and, hopefully, that continues for a long time to come for club and country – and fans
