The story about who’ll lead the Rangers frontline against Aberdeen has been raging almost ever since Morelos picked up a yellow against Ayr United. A very questionable yellow might I add.

Today, more than just be the chance to reach our first cup final since Hibsgate 16, we’ll finally find out who Gerrard chooses to play up front. Isn’t this exciting?

And out of all the options, there’s one which might just relish the chance to make an impression on a big day more than all the others. Eros Grezda.

Grezda has experience playing up front

Really, on paper, Gerrard should be starting Umar Sadiq. But does the Manager trust a player he was frustrated with last month to handle such a big occassion? Failing that, perhaps Ryan Kent will get the nod?

Grezda however, is raring to go and desperate for a chance. Even if he snatched a big one on Thursday. The Albanian international is so highly rated in his homeland journalists spoke about how we got a 20m player for relative peanuts.

Against Aberdeen, Grezda would finally have a chance to prove why. It’s kind of game you have to relish playing in as a player.

I fancy Grezda to make his mark on Hampden today if he Gerrard picks him to lead the line.

At the moment, it looks like it’s between Eros and Ryan Kent.
