Legendary rocker Malcolm Young of Aussie band AC/DC visited Rangers with his son in 2010 as links to the outfit resurface amid a retail collaboration with the rock giants.
Brothers Malcolm and Angus Young grew up in Australia but come from Glasgow with both bluenoses and both having visited Ibrox for matches in the past.

But after Rangers launched a new collaboration with AC/DC – which includes a range of merchandise as well as a new kit – that old image of Malcolm Young at Ibrox has resurfaced.
And we wanted to give a little bit of context as to why Malcolm Young – who sadly passed away in 2017 – was spotted at Rangers that day.
Why did AC/DC legend Malcolm Young visit Rangers?
According to Rangers at the time – highlighted here on AC/DC fans forum ACDCfans.net – the legendary rocker was visiting Ibrox with his son Ross as part of a title party in 2010.
The rockstar was there to take a 1-1 draw as Rangers lifted the trophy under the management of Walter Smith, with the club gifting personalised jerseys to both Malcolm and Angus Young, with the latter not in attendance.
So despite Malcolm lifting up that Rangers shirt with Angus on the back, the AC/DC guitarist got his own personalised shirt from the club!
There are also a few quotes which have been accredited to Malcolm Young.
“It’s fantastic to be back at Ibrox. Coming down the tunnel and going onto the pitch was amazing,” said Malcolm.
“It’s a long time since I was last here. I remember Angus and me came to watch a Celtic game and, of course, we won 2-1.
“We’ve always been Rangers fans and it’s great to bring my son Ross along to watch the match.
“Everyone in our family have been Rangers fans since I can remember so this is a special day for me.”
You can read more about the Rangers link-up with AC/DC on the club’s official website as a range of merchandising options send something of a shockwave through the footballing and music worlds.
The collection is based on the club’s first-ever gig in Scotland, with AC/DC touring off their High Voltage album in 1976.
Meanwhile, Rangers links to Darius Olaru have intensified.
