Umar Sadiq’s spell at Rangers this season, was an unsuccessful one.
The big striker arrived from Roma in the summer, and after a fairly successful stint at NAC Breda last campaign, looked a good loan acquisition.

However, he rarely made it into match day squads.
After just four appearances including a solitary start, the 22-year-old’s deal was terminated early.
It didn’t take him long to secure another loan move, though, this time to Perugia in Serie B.
Early on, it looked as though he would fail to impress there too. His first five appearances came and went with a goal still elusive.

However, he has sprung into life recently.
Last week, he finally opened his scoring account for the season, with a fine individual effort.
On Sunday, he was at it again. He found the net after 31 minutes in a home league fixture against Salernitana.
Played in down the right hand side of the box, he rifled a powerful first time effort into the roof of the net.
It was an excellent finish which gave his side a two goal cushion.

Yet, shortly after half-time, he undid a lot of his good work.
He picked up a straight red card for a lunge on an opposition defender.
High and late, it was a dreadful challenge and deserving of a dismissal.
After an uneventful spell at Rangers, the Nigerian striker is certainly in the thick of things in Italy.
