Giovanni van Bronckhorst got involved in training at Auchenhowie on Wednesday as Rangers ramped up preparations for their imminent Europa League fixture against Sparta Prague.
Much to the delight of supporters, the new Rangers manager took to the training pitch for the first time on Tuesday ahead of a must-win tie at Ibrox.
This time around, it seems the 46-year-old fancied joining in on a few drills himself and he’s clearly still got it.
Van Bronckhorst joined a group that featured the likes of Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara, Joe Aribo and Connor Goldson for a rondo.
Initially, the standard was poor, with a number of passes underhit or misplaced. That prompted the boss to say “come on guys” and soon the intensity and quality was raised.
GvB himself barely put a foot wrong, but on one occasion when he was at fault for the drill breaking down after firing a pass between Kamara and Calvin Bassey, he jokingly said “Aww he should have been there”, drawing laughs from the players.

First-team coach Roy Makaay also joined in with a group containing Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Juninho Bacuna.
The video went on to show new fitness coach Arno Phillips briefly working with the squad before the players were tested in a finishing drill.
Rangers know that a win by two clear goals over Sparta on Thursday would be enough to secure second place in Group A, provided that Brondby don’t beat Lyon in Denmark.
