Philippe Clement has heard calls for his head for a number of months now from the stands.
Some Rangers supporters are fed up with their manager and the results as well as performances on the pitch at times.
Defeat to St Mirren was compounded by yet more dropped points away to Motherwell as the Light Blues fell further behind their rivals in the Scottish Premiership table.
Clement has an opportunity to get back into fans’ good graces with his first win over Celtic tomorrow but defeat could spell the end for the Belgian.

And yet, a key player in the changing room, Vaclav Cerny, has offered his thoughts on the rumblings of pressure surrounding his gaffer.
For Cerny it is less about Clement as a leader and more about the Rangers collective where they have gone wrong in recent times.
And when asked if he understands the Old Firm derby at Ibrox to be a massive day for the boss as a whole, the Czechia international insists everyone is in the mire together.
Vaclav Cerny ‘wants to achieve’ as a group alongside Clement
“I will say it like this,” he began.
“I think we all are together in this.
“Me saying this, it’s an honest answer. I see us as a group, not as a manager and a team.
“We all are one and we want to achieve things together. We want to go for it together.”
Cerny was asked what he and the squad make of sack calls
Cerny did stop short, it must be said, of fully backing his manager when it came to another question from the press corps, this time regarding his future beyond this week.
And rather than stick his neck out by urging fans to get behind him like the winger claims to be, Cerny was more diplomatic.
“Not my business,” he said. “I have a manager, I have a gaffer. We all do. We want to win the rest of the games of this season.”
