Rangers return to the Scottish Premiership knowing that it will take a miracle to close the gap to top spot.
It wasn’t quite a miracle, however, Philippe Clement continues to squeeze the most out of the squad in the Europa League.
The top eight position secured doesn’t win any trophies but Vaclav Cerny is in no mood to down play the achievement of Rangers going deep in the Europe once again.

Vaclav Cerny dreams big for Rangers’ Europa League run
Speaking after the nail biting win over Union Saint Gilloise, Cerny thinks that Rangers fans can dream big once again, via The Rangers Review:
“That’s what we wanted before it all started, and we had some tough opponents, and I think it’s a very, very good achievement to go into the top eight.
“No one knows [how far we can go.] Obviously, we are waiting for the next opponent, and then we see from there. Obviously the dream of ours is to go as far as possible, but obviously we need to wait and focus for the very first opponent.
“Yeah, almost every game we’ve played it was a good game. So don’t think we had a we had a bad game in Europe this season. So yeah, we were just well prepared for every single game. I think.
“We should be [confident for the next round]. But again, we don’t know who’s the opponent is going to be. Doesn’t really matter. We’re just looking forward for it.”
Cerny continues to show up £7m Rangers signing
Cerny scored his 13th goal of the season against USG to go with his seven assists, he has been a textbook loan signing in that he has delivered what was expected, if not more.
What the Czechia international and Abdallah Sima last season have also done is shown that Rangers tolerated wingers who simply weren’t good enough for too long.
It is possible to get a ball carrier, who is hard working and who can score goals.
Ryan Kent, who has been linked with a return, got away with a poor return in front of goal because of all of his other work, but Nils Koppen and his recruitment team have no excuse now.
Rangers could sign Cerny for £8m, similar to what was paid to Liverpool to Kent, but without the gamble.
