Nothing appears to be going right for under-fire Rangers at the moment and the club have been forced to remove a Liverpool Champions League banner after a fan backlash.
The Gers had put a framed panoramic view of the stadium ahead of the 7-1 Champions League defeat to Liverpool up for sale for £50.
But whilst Rangers chiefs might’ve thought the image itself was a strong enough one to merit selling to fans, the support have been clear the decision to sell the image on the club’s website has backfired.
How insulting it is to the intelligence of supporters that the club would try to cash in on something from a game which stands as Rangers’ worst ever defeat at Ibrox.
Not only does the banner represent Rangers’ worst ever Ibrox humbling, but the 7-1 defeat to Liverpool in Glasgow is also the club’s worst-ever European result.
As reported by STV, the image has since been taken down.
Rangers accused of being out of touch with Liverpool banner
Why anyone at the club would think any Rangers fan would want to remember this moment let alone hang an image of it as a constant reminder has led to further accusations of the club being out of touch with fans.
It might only be a banner, but the significance of the defeat to Liverpool has Rangers fans questioning those who are organising these things.
There have been ongoing complaints between Castore, MyGers and European ticket prices about the club milking the support and treating them as a cash cow.

This banner just adds to a feeling of Rangers being out of touch with the fans and with things not going right on the pitch, anything that doesn’t go right off it is just going to add to the discontent.
Meanwhile, it will reportedly cost close to £5m for Rangers to make a change many fans are calling for.
