Rangers flop Umar Sadiq was today unveiled at Serie B side Perugia, as the Nigerian striker looks to resurrect his career after failing to make an impression in Scotland.
The 6ft3 inch striker joins the Italian side on-loan from parent club AS Roma.

The move comes after a disastrous loan spell at Rangers. He was sent back to Roma early, leaving Ibrox in December.
Steven Gerrard didn’t seem happy with his application from the outset and he was quickly sent back to Italy. The Nigerian striker missed a huge opportunity at Ibrox.
But still only 21, he still has time to prove why AS Roma forked out a reported £2m back in 2016.
Roma originally signed the striker on loan from Italian side Spezia. Two goals in six league games convinced the club to sign the then teenager. Loan moves to Bologna, Torino and NAC Breda then followed, and these preceded his move to Ibrox.

But it wasn’t meant to be at Rangers for the lanky striker, who has been compared to Nwankwo Kanu.

Sadiq joined Rangers offering much promise but struggled to deliver. And when he had his chance against Aberdeen, he failed to take it. Quite literally.
After rounding the keeper and with the chance to make himself a hero, Sadiq flopped onto the floor. He got a booking for his troubles.
Sadiq has four goals in six Nigerian U23 internationals and obviously has ability if AS Roma took him on full time.
But he will need some big performances at Perugia to prove he can cut in Serie A.
