Former Rangers stars Barrie McKay and Declan John are officially free agents after being released by Swansea City.
McKay joined Nottingham Forest from Rangers in 2017 for a reported fee of £500,000 [BBC Sport], after racking up 140 first-team appearances for the Gers, scoring 20 goals and notching 39 assists.
After one season at Forest, he joined Swansea on a three-year deal, but things didn’t really work out for the attacker in Wales.
He only made 39 appearances for the Swans and spent the last season and a half out on loan in League One with Fleetwood Town.
John also joined Swansea in 2018, this time directly from Rangers, for whom he had made 31 appearances at left-back.
He also failed to establish himself at the Liberty Stadium, though, and has had loan stints elsewhere in the EFL with Sunderland and Bolton.
Both players are now looking for new clubs after Swansea confirmed their release in a squad update on Friday morning.
Swansea City can confirm its retained list following the end of the 2020-21 season.

The Championship club have also released Andre Ayew and Kieron Freeman after they narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League with a playoff final defeat to Brentford.
Consistency has always been an issue for McKay, but the 26-year-old is capable of the spectacular and was popular with the fans during his time at Ibrox, so some Bears would no doubt be keen for him to return to Glasgow.
There’s very little chance of a return for John, though, as with Borna Barisic, Calvin Bassey and James Maxwell all at the club, the Gers are currently well-stocked at left-back.
