Rangers face competition from Championship outfit Bristol City and rivals Celtic if they want to sign Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas.
The towering centre half is currently on loan at Ashton Gate and has been a huge part of The Robins’ season so far. According to The Scottish Sun, they’ve no intention of letting him return to his parent club.
Still only 25, it’s been a real breakthrough year for the Czech international in England. But can Rangers convince him his future is at Ibrox?

Rangers were linked to the player by The Scottish Sun, who claim he’ll cost any potential suitors £5m.

Kalas brings with him 19 international caps and a growing reputation as a solid choice at centre back. The sturdy centre half has guided his side to within a point of the playoff places in the English Championship.
Any decision on Kalas’ future could well rest on Bristol City achieving promotion into the English Premier League.

Rangers would also be expected to shell out a considerable figure to sign the player. He has two and a half years left on his contract at Chelsea.
The Ibrox side could well be priced out of a move and it’s clear they’ll face stiff competition for his signature.
Should the club make a move for this centre half who’s a little closer to home instead?
