Rangers boss Steven Gerrard made the Rangers Academy youngsters’ day when he dropped in to seem them at training.

The Gers gaffer visited the club’s Academy stars as the Liverpool legend looks to inspire those Rangers players of the future.

He even asked the youngsters if they wanted to play for him against Hearts and if they were eager to play for him “in a few years”. Superb.

It’s like Gerrard can do no wrong at Ibrox and the cute little snippet has naturally had Rangers fans fawning over the gaffer.

The club’s supporters undoubtedly appreciate the immense work that Steven Gerrard has put into Rangers and seeing him interact with the Academy’s youngsters is obviously superb to see.

The club’s adoring fans have taken to Twitter to react to the video of Gerrard high-fiving the club’s young talent.

With Rangers currently sitting two points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership and the fans enjoying yet another run in the Europa League, on the pitch things are so far going right for Gerrard.

But off it, the Gaffer has taken to his role as figurehead at the club superbly and is growing every day into that commanding, honest, passionate presence of the club’s finest ever managers.

Success on the pitch is a sure-fire way to place the Gers gaffer alongside names such as Bill Struth, Jock Wallace and Walter Smith.
