On Saturday afternoon, Bears were treated to a first for Steven Gerrard.
The Gers manager donned a Rangers strip and played the final 10 minutes of the Legends game against Liverpool at Ibrox.
In front of a healthy crowd in Govan, this was an entertaining fixture held to raise funds for the clubs’ respective charity foundations.
Gerrard played the vast majority of the game for his former side, wearing no.8 and the armband.

Early on, it looked as though Liverpool might run away with it, as they went 2-0 up after just 16 minutes, courtesy of goals from Luis Garcia and Patrick Berger.
Yet, former Gers goal machines Kris Boyd and Peter Lovenkrands then got on the scoresheet either side of an Emile Heskey stirke (assisted by Gerrard), ensuring Liverpool only led 3-2 at the interval.
However, the tempo dropped off after the break and there were to be no further goals. Neil Alexander did well to keep the scoreline down for the Light Blues, making three good saves in quick succession around the hour mark.
Scoreline aside, though, the moment everyone had been waiting for came in the 82nd minute. Gerrard, who had completed a quick kit change after being substituted by Liverpool moments earlier, came on for a cameo in a Rangers shirt.
Rangers fans swoon as Gerrard wears blue
He received a rousing reception from the crowd and got straight into the thick of things, looking to create a late equaliser.
Unfortunately, there was to be no fairytale goal for the 39-year-old. Not that many Bears were overly bothered, though. For most, just seeing the boss in Light Blue was enough, and his appearance received plenty of attention on social media.
