Rangers boss Steven Gerrard might have said that striker Alfredo Morelos will be going nowhere in January, but it hasn’t stopped Crystal Palace fans getting excited.
The London club was linked to the Colombian with his 20 goals and improved temperament reportedly catching the eye of several clubs.
But according to Gerrard, they can look but not touch as the Colombian firebrand is central to the Rangers title challenge.

Palace – managed by Roy Hodgson and sitting in the top half of the Premier League – reportedly sent Dougie Freedman to watch Morelos last month [Scottish Sun].
They’re not the only Premier League side who’ve been linked with a move for the striker, with Morelos also reportedly on the radar of Aston Villa.
Struggling for goals and with the need for investment in the final third come January, these Palace fans are allowing themselves to get excited by the prospect of Morelos moving to Selhurst Park.

However, and this is the important thing here, Steven Gerrard has said he is already “100% sure” that Alfredo Morelos is going nowhere come the next window.
Rangers’ season is delicately poised and a fit and firing Alfredo Morelos is central to what the club is trying to achieve this season.
Besides, Morelos himself has dropped plenty of hints he’s going nowhere come the winter break.
