James Bisgrove has given an exciting update on Rangers’ latest major project, New Edmiston House.
Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, construction work is underway on the new building, which is scheduled to open at some point next year.

Following the reopening of club shop at Ibrox, the Gers made it a priority to make other improvements to the matchday experience.
Inside the ground itself, wifi has been introduced and contactless payments enabled but New Edmiston House is set to take things to a whole new level.
Rangers director of commercial and marketing, Bisgrove, is extremely excited about the building’s potential and he provided more details on the project during an interview with FC Business magazine.
“The opening of New Edmiston House will be the pinnacle for us and the programme is now under construction,” he said. “The venue is quite clever in how it is set up and will allow us to create a fanzone space outside where we will have a mini-pitch, food and beverage stalls and a stage for entertainment.”
“It will serve a purpose as a matchday fanzone and club space but will also stand in its own right as a separate entity to Rangers as a leading multi-purpose venue in the west of Scotland. The versatility of the venue is absolutely key to us.”
The fanzone capacity is set to be an impressive 3000 people, while the concert venue will be a little more intimate at 1300.

This is an exciting update for supporters, who have been crying out for a permanent and quality fanzone-type structure for some time.
Rangers trialled virtual watchalongs for away Europa League matches last season and there’s little doubt that Bears will attend screenings at New Edmiston House in the flesh when restrictions are lifted.
The club museum – something many supporters are hugely excited about – will also be housed in the building, so there’s potential for foot traffic at New Edmiston House throughout the year.
Meanwhile, inside Ibrox, photos have shown a new installation and given a sneak peek at the new pitch.
