Neil Warnock has landed in Aberdeen as he prepares to takeover as Dons manager ahead of their midweek clash with Rangers.
News broke over the weekend that the legendary English manager, 75, was all set to takeover at Pittodrie until the end of the season.
And now a video originally posted on social media platform X but now doing the rounds in the press appears to show Warnock in Aberdeen airport as he jets in from down south for crunch talks with Dave Cormack and co.
The eagle has well and truly landed. Look at that stride!
Neil Warnock jets into Aberdeen
At the time of writing, Neil Warnock’s move to Aberdeen is yet to go through but it is expected that the former Sheffield United, QPR, and Crystal Palace manager will take charge of his 19th club in the Dons.
Interestingly, the Englishman has always spoken openly about his desire to manage a club in Scotland, with this Warnock’s first foray north of the border.
Perhaps even more interestingly, our Neil is a self-confessed Rangers fan.
We don’t suspect that will make much difference now Neil Warnock looks set to takeover at Aberdeen and the appointment will be met with much intrigue across the UK.
The manager is cult hero across British football and we suspect there will be plenty casting a gaze on Pittodrie should the deal go through.
Rangers to welcome transitional Dons
As for Rangers, we’re preparing to welcome an out-of-sorts Aberdeen side to Glasgow for a crunch Scottish Premiership clash at Ibrox tomorrow evening.
Whilst it remains unclear if Neil Warnock will be in charge for the Dons’ trip to Govan, it’s clear Aberdeen will have to show a reaction following the sacking of Barry Robson.
Having already taken two points off Celtic over the weekend to blow the Scottish Premiership title race wide open, everyone knows Aberdeen raise their game against Rangers.

It’s the Dons’ cup final and we are their biggest rivals, with Rangers having already dropped five points from a possible six to Aberdeen this season.
Whether Neil Warnock is involved or not, we expect Aberdeen to feel the managerial bounce and Rangers will need to be at their best to take full points at Ibrox.
