Rangers’ 9 in a row legend Stuart McCall knows all about the pressure of playing at Ibrox, and he’s “excited” about two players whose experience can help deal with it.
Whilst the former Rangers boss is optimistic about Rangers’ title chances next season, he believes Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis will be essential to them.
McCall has been praising Rangers early season transfer dealings. But he’s also excited to see what the club’s January signings will bring this campaign.

“I think there’s a lot of potential in the players Rangers have signed,” McCall told Rangers News.
“Next season is going to be a real pressure cooker for both sides. Every dropped point is going to feel like a disaster.
“It’s not just about the ability of the players, it’s about the character. They have to be able to handle it.
“From the playing point of view, I’m just as excited to see Davis and Defoe after a good pre-season. Those players have done it before and know what it’s like to succeed.
“McGregor as well has done it before at Rangers.
“It’s important to have lads like that in the dressing room.
“We’re still looking at a couple of others but we had some really strong performances at the end of last season. And I hope a lot of individuals can pick that up when they come back.”
The Rangers legend clearly keeps on top of the happenings at the Glasgow club and, like all supporters, is excited for what the future holds.
