Rangers chief Stewart Robertson has been speaking out against BBC Scotland’s reporting on Rangers, describing it as “unacceptable”.
The club’s Managing Director has called the BBC out for what he calls “treating Rangers differently.”
Robertson was speaking at the Oceania Rangers Supporters Association (ORSA) convention. He was quoted by reputable fan media Heart & Hand.
Robertson said:
“BBC chosen not to come into Ibrox. They have admitted they treat us differently. We find this unacceptable. Situation escalating until they treat us same as every other club.
“Alfredo vilified after Old Firm match by BBC. It was unfair and we do not accept that treatment. A lot going on behind the scenes to deal with it.”
It’s not the first time Robertson has been outspoken against the BBC. The club released an interview with the Managing Director last month which centred around the wider issues with the disciplinary process in Scottish football.

As part of that Robertson spoke out against the so-called “trial by Sportscene” and the BBC’s treatment of Rangers. The Managing Director came across very well in the interview and was very clear about Rangers stance on the entire thing.
Rangers are clearly working hard to resolve these issues with the BBC. The likes of Robertson will be central to any success the club have in doing so.
