Steven Gerrard has shown his class again by sending Brendan Rodgers a good luck text after his rival’s Celtic exit.
That is at least according to The Scottish Sun.
Steven Gerrard of course went up against Brendan Rodgers twice in Scotland. Rodgers came out on top in the first game, whilst Gerrard nabbed three points in the second.

Sending Rodgers a text is a nice touch from Gerrard and shows his class. The Rangers manager formerly played under Brendan Rodgers whilst the Northern Irishman was in charge of Liverpool.
The duo’s paths have consistently crossed in each other’s career to date. As fate would have it they did again in Scotland.
But now Rodgers is back down south and Gerrard is tasked with finishing what he started at Ibrox. It was an interesting sub-plot but one which will no longer be running in the background of the game here.

Rodgers upset Celtic fans when he left the club to join Leicester City. It means the former Swansea boss returns to the Premier League after a four year absence from it.

Of his time in Glasgow, Rodgers told the same Scottish Sun article: “My life was great. I loved the city. I loved the people. I loved the club.
“I had a wonderful life. My daughter was in school there and having an amazing time.”
talkSport host Adrian Durham believes Rodgers left Scotland because he feared Steven Gerrard’s side.
