Steven Davis: Zak Lovelace injury still being assessed

“Firstly, I thought he was really lively, bringing that energy, power and pace that we know he’s got,” said Steven Davis.

“He brought that to the game and was causing them problems, so I’m disappointed for him.

“It’s a bit of a double-edged sword for him today in terms of getting his full debut and then that happening.

“He says he’s feeling a little bit better after the game but until he’s assessed we’ll not really know the damage.”

Rangers signed Zak Lovelace on a professional deal following his time in Millwall academy south of the border and there are high hopes for the striker.
