St Joseph's defender says he will use Spanish to wind up Rangers star

St Joseph’s defender Ryan Casciaro has spoken about Gers striker Alfredo Morelos, as quoted by the Daily Record.
At 35, Casciaro is one of the elder statesmen of his club side. With that age comes experience though, and back in 2016, he was part of one of the biggest club upsets of the recent past.

His brother scored the winner as the Casciaro brothers helped Lincoln Red Imps defeat Celtic 1-0.
Fast forward a few years and he believes Rangers could also leave the Rock with their tail between their legs. Especially, if he succeeds in winding up El Bufalo.
“I watched two of the Old Firm games last season and I saw the red card for their striker Morelos for the elbow on Scott Brown and the Celtic win”, said Casciaro, as
quoted by the Daily Record. “That’s one thing any team would try to do – upset Rangers, to get Morelos, speak Spanish, get on his back and make him do something stupid.”
“Whether you are inexperienced and young or not, if someone has a temper, anyone would have a dig at him to see how he reacts. It’s something we will have a look at and develop in our game plan. Scott Brown doesn’t speak Spanish but he got on his back!
“Listen, Morelos is a very good player as well, we know that. A bad temper but an excellent player. Fast, aggressive, skilful and a great shot.”

Verdict

Casciaro has an advantage over most SPL defenders, with his ability to speak Morelos’ mother tongue. Having said that, plenty in Scotland succeeded in provoking him last season.
He picked up an outrageous five red cards (one rescinded) and 18 yellows across all competitions [Soccerbase].
It’s an area of his game where we need to see drastic improvements, and he has now been warned that St Joseph’s will go after him.
Let’s hope if he plays on Tuesday, he will show his class as a footballer. As long as Rangers don’t get sucked into the kind of game the opposition wants to play, they should be far too strong for their opponents.
