Rangers icon Lee Wallace might have been scarcely seen over the last two seasons, but that doesn’t mean Rangers fans should forget his contribution to the club.
Back in 2012, Lee Wallace stayed whilst many moved on. He sacrificed a meatier pay packet down south and an international career for Rangers.

He sacrificed all that to slug it down in the hammer throwing lower divisions of Scottish football. And he’s still here as the club battle at the top seven years later.
This season will be his last at the club. A now infamous bust-up between Wallace, Kenny Miller and Graeme Murty has resigned him to the background at Ibrox. His contract is about to expire come June.
Fans are split over whether he should receive a special send-off at Ibrox before the season is out or not.

It’s mostly positive stuff being written by supporters. Most fans who’ve spoken out feel the player deserves a send-off. I agree.
Wallace sacrificed much his career to lead Rangers back to the top of Scottish football. Without knowing enough about what happened with Murty, it certainly appears like he’s been let down by the club in the aftermath.

It’s important the fans don’t do that too. As for those who don’t think he’s good enough, that is fair enough. If it’s still all to play for, you can’t sacrifice someone else’s space.
But if we don’t see him by the end of the season, should Wallace get a testimonial?
