‘Sloppy’: BBC pundit slams £1.8m Rangers player’s display v Raith Rovers

Steven Thompson has said on BBC Sportsound that Rangers striker Antonio Colak did not play well against Raith Rovers at Ibrox in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.

The former Rangers striker was not impressed by Colak, and believes that he did not have a good day for Michael Beale’s side.

The BBC Sport pundit has said that the £1.8 million (Sky Sports) striker was “sloppy”.

Rangers have got the better of Rovers 3-0 at home to book their place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Connor Goldson’s goal on the brink of half-time put the Gers in the lead.

An own goal from Ryan Nolan saw Rangers go 2-0 up on 58 minutes.

And then Scott Arfield scored late in the game to wrap up a 3-0 victory for the hosts.

Colak started the match.

The striker was leading the line for Rangers.

Rangers manager Michael Beale took off the striker for Alfredo Morelos on 78 minutes.

The 29-year-old had a poor game.

The Croatia international striker did not offer much in attack, although he was involved in a few build-up plays.

Thompson said when Colak was getting substituted: “It’s not been a good day for Antonio Colak, he’s not really been involved at all and some of his play was quite sloppy.”
