Journalist Michael Bridge has waxed lyrical about Rangers’ transfer policy as he gave an update regarding the Gers on Sky Sports News.

The Sky Sports pundit was discussing the Ibrox side’s moves this January and said it was “refreshing” to see Rangers looking ahead in the transfer window.

According to Bridge, Rangers are already planning for the next windows in their transfer business and claims “no one is laughing now” at the recruitment work being done by the club.

Bridge also praised the signing of Glen Kamara, which he described as one of the “best transfers” in recent memory.

“Going great so far, 20 points clear of Celtic, who have two games in hand,” said Bridge [Sky Sports News].

“It’s very refreshing for Rangers fans, that they’re already thinking, looking ahead to the summer.

“Steven Gerrard’s got a very good relationship with Ross Wilson who’s in charge of the transfers.

“Mocked for years for poor signings, poor results, but no-one’s laughing now.

“There’s no update on Scott Wright’s move from Aberdeen, but all this reminds me of their pre-contract deal for Glen Kamara.

“They brought that deal forward for £50k from Dundee and that’s turned into one of the best transfers in recent years in the Scottish Premiership.”

Rangers are yet to make a move in this transfer window with Steven Gerrard admitting that the club are “actively” trying to improve the squad [Rangers].

The Rangers boss confirmed that the club are interested in Aberdeen winger Scott Wright whilst he refused to rule out a move for two players currently turning out for Bournemouth.

Rangers have been linked with pre-contract moves for defender Jack Simpson, 24, and midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh, 21, who are out of contract in the summer.
