Josh Windass was a polarising figure at Ibrox and fans were always unsure of his commitment and attitude.
But whilst many will agree that his arrogance was a great frustration, his ability was always evident. His 18 goals last season are certainly testament to that. The forward also got eight assists.
And it’s those goals that Rangers certainly miss. In the battle to topple Celtic this year, should we have sold Josh Windass?

Whilst all is not quite lost in the Scottish Premiership yet, it might’ve been sown up had Rangers found goals from somewhere in big games.
Those lack of goals from midfield have been one of the key differences between Rangers and Celtic this season. Windass provided plenty.
But Gerrard clearly believed the player was surplus to requirements at the right price. Wigan bid £2m an Windass was off. The player felt the fee didn’t represent his ability and left the club offended that Rangers had accepted it.
Rangers have also felt the injury worries and lack of form of Eros Grezda, who was signed to replace him.

Rangers need that direct forward player who plays off the front man and scores goals. Time will tell if Grezda can fulfil this role. It’s one which Josh Windass did well.
If only his attitude matched his ability on the pitch. The former Accrington Stanley player clashed heavily with fans during his time at Ibrox.
But is he exactly the kind of player we could’ve used this season?
