As Celtic go into their tie with Aberdeen today, they can all but kill any of the faint hopes Rangers had for the title. Ten points will be the difference between the two sides with nine games to go.
But what has been the difference on the pitch between the two sides? Is it quality? Is it experience?
Well partly, but it’s also the fact that they can actually score goals from midfield.

Ryan Kent, Scott Arfield and Daniel Candeias have not done enough to ease the burden on Alfredo Morelos. Actually imagine Rangers didn’t have the Colombian in their side this season?
But so far this year the trio have only amounted 18 goals between them (Kent five, Arfield seven, Candeias six). If you’re going to win Championships or titles, you need to spread the goals out.
This is not enough and must improve going into next season. It has to be of vital importance to Gerrard and Allen to get some goals throughout this team. Or get people in who we can rely on when the going gets tough.

To get that in perspective, Scott Sinclair (17), Ryan Christie (10) and James Forrest (15) have scored a combined 42 goals between them. That’s a difference of 25 goals.
And it looks like it will be a Championship winning difference of 25 goals.
Here’s how fans reacted after Steven Gerrard took responsibility for the draw at Easter Road.
