Rangers are approaching yet another crossroads as the pressure mounts on Ibrox manager Philippe Clement.
There have been loud calls from within the Rangers support for Clement’s head after the club crashed out of the Scottish Cup to Queen’s Park.
In the wake of one of the worst results in Rangers’ illustrious history, Gers fans are getting antsy as a period of radio silence sees fingers pointed up the marble staircase.
Rangers now need to decide whether to stick or twist, Clement’s latest capitulation effectively ending the club’s domestic season in early February.
But with scant options currently available out there to replace him, if the Gers don’t move quickly they could miss out on former Everton and Burnley boss Sean Dyche.
Premier League fans want free-agent Sean Dyche
Sean Dyche was one of the names being most closely linked to Rangers prior to Michael Beale being appointed at Ibrox.
The gravel throated ex-Burnley boss is a Premier League campaigner but eventually signed on at cash-strapped Everton.
The Toffees have since appointed another potential Rangers candidate in David Moyes, with whispers around Steven Gerrard and Kevin Muscat still heard around Ibrox.
In Sean Dyche, Rangers could appoint a no-nonsense type manager who likely wouldn’t be so patient with Clement’s underachievers.
But the 53-year-old might not be available for long if one set of Premier League fans have their way.
Dyche’s name is now doing the rounds alongside Tottenham Hotspur with Ange Postecoglou in a similar situation to Philippe Clement.
Like the Belgian in Glasgow, the ex-Celtic manager is under pressure in north London with Spurs fans calling for Dyche on social media.
Sean Dyche ‘would love’ Rangers invite
Sean Dyche was linked with the Rangers job back in November 2022 following the sacking of Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Back then the ex-Burnley manager responded to the links and suggested he’d be open to discussions over a move to Ibrox.
Namely, this is because Dyche had close links to then Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson from his time working with Watford.

“There is a window of opportunity (for the Premier League) and I think I’m still in it,” Dyche said.
“People say I’ve been out of the game for seven months but when you consider there’s three months of a close season then it’s like four active months.
“I’ve got a window of possible opportunity in the Premier League. If it comes my way then brilliant, if not then I’ll have to broaden my horizons.
“I do know Ross Wilson at Rangers and if he’d like to invite me to the Old Firm derby – I’ve never been – then he should. I’ve heard so many stories and I’d love to do it. I worked with Ross at Watford.”
