Rangers fans are furious after the club crashed out of the Scottish Cup at the hands of Queen’s Park.
The Gers are now heading for a trophyless season with manager Philippe Clement a man under mounting pressure in Glasgow.
With Celtic all set up for a sixth domestic treble in nine years, Rangers’ legacy as Scotland’s premier club is being rapidly extinguished with meek resistance being offered at Ibrox.
Following the 1-0 defeat, the Rangers support have the scattergun out on social media and there’s no prizes for guessing who is in the immediate firing line.

Rangers fans turn on Philippe Clement
Philippe Clement insists it would be counterintuitive if he left his role as Rangers manager this season.
But that’s not stopped Rangers fans turning on the manager in their numbers online as they let their frustrations out in the wake of the Scottish Cup defeat.
It’s certainly not pretty but here’s some of the responses we’ve pulled from X.
One supporter insists that the Rangers defeat to Queen’s Park has been ‘in the post’ given the Gers’ floundering performances against so-called weaker opposition.
Another says the Rangers manager ‘should be gone tonight’ as the Belgian’s credit drops to zero and potentially into the Ibrox overdraft.
One fan claimed ‘that’s it for Clement’ at Rangers with one frustrated supporter insisting the Belgian ‘doesn’t get it and never will’.
Philippe Clement was also keen to point to Rangers creating a number of chances and having 30 shots on goal against Queen’s Park.
One fan had a very tongue in cheek response to the comments.
‘First ever’ for Rangers in astonishing Scottish Cup stat
It’s not just Clement who is getting either, with the Rangers players being branded a ‘disgrace’ for their role in the astonishing Scottish Cup loss.
This remarkable stat also lays bare just how big a mess the Rangers team made of it at Ibrox, with this the first-ever Scottish Cup defeat against a lower league side at Ibrox in Rangers’ history.
It’s also the first time Rangers have lost a Scottish Cup tie against lower league opposition since, gulp, that infamous 1-0 defeat to Berwick Rangers in 1967.
Rangers fans are now looking at a three month Celtic procession to yet another treble as they reflect on a remarkable period of failure at Ibrox.
With the Scottish Cup now officially out of the window, Philippe Clement’s only chance to curry favour with supporters comes in the shape of the Europa League.
