Ryan Kent’s time at Fenerbahce has been torrid, to say the least.

The Rangers hero has made just 18 appearances for the Turkish giants since he moved last year.

The majority of those outings have come from the bench and he has offered little for the club with just one goal and two assists in that time.

It came after the 27-year-old ran down his contract at Ibrox and left at the end of his deal on a free alongside four other top stars within the club.

A number of clubs were interested in the wide man and there had been competition to sign him after he departed Glasgow.

The Yellow Canaries won the race to sign the Englishman but it never worked out and he was bombed out on numerous occasions by manager Ismail Kartal before he himself exited.

Jose Mourinho then took the job with the club but Kent was unable to impress the former Manchester United, Chelsea and Inter Milan boss and now a final decision has been made.

Ryan Kent has terminated his Fenerbahce contract

The club confirmed last night that Kent has had his contract ripped up by mutual consent and he will now take a close look for a new side.

Their statement read: “To inform. The contract with Ryan Kent, one of the Professional Football A Team players, has been terminated by mutual agreement.

“We present it to the public.”

Kent had numerous clubs chasing his loan signature back in January

Back in January, Kent was offered a route out of Turkey with both Dinamo Zagreb and Lazio keen to take the playmaker on loan with the potential to make the move permanent should the deal worked out.

It remains to be seen whether or not the same clubs will return to the table in a bid to sign him again.

The Italian Eagles in particular were close to agreeing a loan for Kent before talks collapsed.
