Liverpool loanee and flying winger Ryan Kent could be sent back to Anfield in January, at least according to reports in the Bristol Post.
The reports come despite Kent signing a season-long loan deal in the Summer. If he was to go back, it would also come as a surprise.
Kent has been one of the club’s biggest loanee success stories. Prior to picking up an injury just over a month ago, the winger was on fire. He was scoring goals and making a big difference in matches. This Rangers side have missed him since he’s been out.
The report suggests any such move would be cut short as Rangers prepare to pounce on Jordan Jones.
The Kilmarnock and Northern Ireland winger’s contract is up at the end of the season. It remains to be seen if Killie will cash in come January or let his contract run down.
With the Bristol Post also believing Burnley to be interested, any move might not seem as certain as journalists suggested last week.
Ryan Kent has scored three times in 23 games this season and returned to the starting lineup for Sunday’s disappointing draw with Dundee.
An explosive, tricky talent, Rangers could be considerably weakened by his departure. But would Jordan Jones be the better option on the left?
