Reports have continued to intensify around Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos and a potential Ibrox exit and move to FC Porto this summer.

Two European journalists have now been out in the press making sizeable claims regarding the Colombian striker’s situation at Ibrox.

First up is Ekrem Konur – an established Italian and Turkish football journalist – who claims that Porto boss Sérgio Conceição has personally requested the deal to be completed.

Konur claims that initial talks have been held between Rangers and FC Porto with personal terms already being agreed with Morelos.

So what about the question on everyone’s lips? How much are Rangers going to potentially recoup through the sale of their prized asset?

Well, there’s been much conjecture regarding this.

Reports in Portugal and Scotland have previously claimed that FC Porto want to pay around £10m for the player.

However, it is well known the Gers value the forward at around double this with some reports claiming this was enough to put Porto off a move.

Now, a Twitter account pertaining to be little-known Latvian journalist Albert Veiss claims that the deal could be worth between £17m (€20m) and £21.5m (€25m), something closer to the amount expected by Rangers fans.

Whatever the case should Morelos move on it will break the hearts of Rangers fans everywhere with the Colombian firebrand the hero of the Ibrox support.

One player potentially touted to replace Morelos should the striker move on is also currently embroiled in a contract wrangle at his current club.
