Last week, an Evening Times report suggested that Rangers are interested Charlton Athletic’s Karlan Grant.
The striker is in the final year of his contract at The Valley and therefore permitted to enter into pre-contract negotiations.
Charlton have since expressed their optimism that Grant will stay. A youth academy graduate, there is likely to be a sense of loyalty between the two parties.

However, that didn’t stop Rangers reportedly sending a scout to watch the striker at the weekend.
The 21-year-old made the trip worthwhile too, as he secured all three points for his side.
In an ill-tempered affair at home to mid-table Accrington Stanley, both teams were reduced to 10 men.
Despite their much loftier league ranking, Charlton struggled to register significant attempts on goal.

However, they were offered a way out, deep into stoppage time, when Stanley’s Daniel Barlaser handled in the area.
Grant then showed Rangers he can hold his nerve under pressure.
He cooly converted the penalty, to hand his side a crucial three points.
The goal moved the front man up to joint third in the League One scoring charts, with 14. He only trails John Marquis of Doncaster, and Sunderland’s Josh Maja.
You would think the Gers now need to move fast.
If this guy keeps scoring, they’ll find it more and more difficult, to secure his services.
