According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic are interested in securing the services of Josh Maja.
We’re not surprised either.
The 20-year-old is strong, athletic and full of goals.

With 14, he averages better than a goal every other game in League One this season. What’s more, despite Sunderland’s efforts to get him to re-sign, his current deal expires at the end of the season.
Just like
Cross-border regulations also ensures Scottish clubs have to pay considerably less compensation than their English counterparts.
Yet, it seems it’s Rangers’ Old Firm rivals who are most alert to his talents and availability.
According to the report, Celtic are willing to let defender, Jack Hendry, go the other way on loan, in order to secure Maja’s services.

Rangers looking at the wrong man?
In the meantime, Rangers’ are reportedly focused on a different League One striker. Karlan Grant.
It now seems he is likely to stay at Charlton, though. The Gers are better off abandoning that deal before they miss out on a potential star.
Stats aren’t everything, but Maja averages a goal every 121 minutes in the league. By comparison, Grant scores every 163.

What’s more, this is the Sunderland man’s first full season and he’s already flying. Grant has already been around for a few seasons without scoring consistently, so his success this campaign, could be a flash in the pan.
I can’t shake the feeling Rangers are concentrating on the wrong man here.
If Maja does join Celtic, he’ll be a real asset.
