Rangers may now be closing in on the signing of Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers according to reports in Italy.
Calciomercato.it now claim that negotiations for Dessers to join Rangers are ‘well advanced’.
It’s claimed that Rangers are now confident of securing Dessers with talks between the two clubs seemingly progressing well.
The report claims that Rangers may now strike a deal worth around €4.2million (£3.6million) plus €1million (£860,000) in add-ons.
That would take the deal to around £4.5million if all of the add-ons are met.
We have seen some varying valuations on Dessers this week.

The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday that Cremonese are seeking a fee of around £7million for Dessers – a profit on what they paid for him a year ago.
Heart and Hand have since claimed that the asking price for Dessers is closer to £5million but Rangers are trying to grind it down a little.
That would certainly fit in with what Calciomercato are now claiming with Rangers potentially closing in.

Cyriel Dessers has been a regular goalscorer in recent years
Rangers need a new striker, possibly even more than one with Alfredo Morelos gone and Antonio Colak’s future unclear.
Dessers could be their man and his record in recent times may leave Rangers fans excited.
The 28-year-old only scored six times in 24 games at Cremonese but he became a cult hero at Feyenoord.
20 goals in 41 games on loan for the Dutch giants – including 10 in 13 European games – made him a fan favourite at De Kuip.
Dessers maybe didn’t shine at Genk with just 11 goals in 43 games but his record in the Netherlands was stellar.
18 goals in 29 games for Heracles Almelo, 19 goals in 56 games for FC Utrecht and 29 goals in 40 games for NAC Breda – Dessers knows where the net is.
Rangers will now hope to see the Nigerian international score regularly in Scotland – if they can get this deal over the line.
