QPR fans have rejoiced on social media after former Rangers captain Lee Wallace signed a new deal with the Championship club.

Wallace made 262 appearances for the Gers across all competitions between 2011 and 2019 but was very much on the peripheries at Ibrox in the run-up to his exit.

He was snapped up by his former Light Blues boss Mark Warburton in the summer of 2019 and brought to QPR on a two-year deal.

Both Warburton and Wallace are still with the London club and after an impressive second half of the 2020/21 campaign, the latter has signed an extension until the summer of 2022.

Wallace wasn’t always popular with the Rs fans, but he’s won many supporters over with strong performances since the turn of the year and many are delighted that he’ll remain at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium for at least another season.
