Old Firm referee Bobby Madden appeared to troll those Celtic fans who have been criticising his performance in Rangers’ 1-0 derby win at Ibrox.
The Scottish referee has been come some amount of criticism from the Celtic faithful after flashing a red card to Nir Bitton which changed the game and swung the match in Rangers’ favour.

This wasn’t helped by the imbittered response of Celtic manager Neil Lennon who completely refuted the call and claimed it was the “wrong decision”.
“I’m bitterly disappointed,” said Lennon [Daily Record].
“The referee has made the wrong decision and it’s changed the course of the game.
“It’s not a sending off, it’s a foul, we’ve got Ajer coming in on the cover and Morelos is in a wide position.
“It’s not a clear and obvious goalscoring opportunity – he might get a shot off but he’s certainly not clear through on goal.”
Replays showed Madden made the right call with Morelos bearing down on goal and Kris Ajer a considerable distance away from catching him.
Celtic fans were also left enraged when Madden appeared to hold back Alfredo Morelos during a clash with Parkhead captain Scott Brown.

But Madden himself wasted no time being party to this kind of nonsense by taking to Instagram to indirectly respond by sharing a collage of him holding back players in multiple matches.
The whistler was clearly just trying to protect the best interests of all players by splitting things up and well, refereeing the match.
Whilst Madden might’ve come in for some criticism from the losing team in the match, Scott Brown has shouldered his fair share of criticism for his role in the incident from the winning side.
Rangers fans don’t think the Celtic captain covered himself in glory with a childish dive where he faked Gers star Alfredo Morelos hitting him in the face.
