There was plenty to celebrate as Rangers edged out a 1-0 victory over Celtic at Ibrox but an “embarrassing” dive from Parkhead captain Scott Brown also caught the eye.
Deemed not good enough or essential enough to start the match, Brown came on with our Parkhead rivals down a man and a goal as they desperately searched for an equaliser.

But Brown clearly wasn’t interested in evening up the score on the pitch as he tried with all his might – even feigning getting struck on the face – to get a Rangers player sent off.
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos was sparked into life when donkey-like defender Shane Duffy ruthlessly scythed Ryan Kent down in the middle of the pitch and somehow escaped a red.
The incident sparked something of a rammy as Rangers and Celtic players alike clashed and tempers threatened to flare.
But look at this smarmy, embarrassing little piece of gamesmanship from the man supposed to be setting an example at Celtic.
Brown jumps into Morelos and then holds his chin as if the Colombian striker has struck him in a desperate attempt to get him sent off.
Rangers fans could barely watch through the cringe as they tore into the rapidly aging Celtic captain on a day when Brown saw his side’s title hopes sail further into the distance:

Alfredo Morelos would of course have the last laugh as Rangers ran out 1-0 winners and the club stretched out a 19-point lead in the Scottish Premiership.
The Colombian would also take to Instagram to goad the Celtic captain in the aftermath of the game and one Gers star would respond in kind.
