As Scottish Champions Rangers broke records on the pitch, the Ibrox support ensured they were recognised for their contribution to the club off it.

Rangers’ 3-0 victory over Livingston in West Lothian means the club has reached a record points total of 99 with Steven Gerrard determined to break the 100 point mark this weekend.

On top of that, the Ibrox side’s 25th league clean sheet means they’ve smashed the Scottish clean sheet record, taking it from the Celtic team of 14/15 when the Gers weren’t in the division.

The Gers can go the season unbeaten if they come out of the weekend’s match with Aberdeen unscathed and will lift 55 this weekend after a decade in the doldrums.

What a time it is to be a Rangers fan and the club’s supporters showed how much they appreciate the club’s contribution with a series of firework displays during and after the Livingston match.

Supporters set off fireworks in the 55th minute of the game but the most special display of the lot came as the team bus headed back to Glasgow.

Gers fans had draped two flags – one supporting Glen Kamara and one with the Champions 55 logo – over a building at the side of the motorway.

The supporters then proceeded to let off an almighty fireworks display at the side of the M8 and this wasn’t missed by the Rangers team bus.

The likes of Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe caught the special displays on Instagram as the players fully appreciated the sentiment from the Gers support.

Rangers fans will not be deterred from celebrating this decisive league championship and the club’s supporters continue to applaud their team’s success this season.

The Ibrox legions also heaped praise on Livingston for a “classy” gesture prior to the game at the Tony Macaroni.
