Ravel Morrison reveals he sat down with Steven Gerrard - reports

Former Premier League wonderkid Ravel Morrison sparked rumours aplenty when he followed Rangers and several club figures on Instagram in January.
The one time Manchester United prodigy was in the background at Lazio and it had fans very excited at the prospect. Steven Gerrard eventually shot the rumours down in a press conference.
But now, Ravel Morrison has revealed there might’ve been a little bit of truth in the transfer talk after all.

In an interview with The Times, Morrison revealed he sat down and spoke with Gers boss Steven Gerrard.
“He’s a legend in football and he was willing to sit down and have a really good conversation,” said Morrison.
Apart from that, there’s not really much more to be revealed about his potential move to Ibrox. But Morrison was full of praise for Steven Gerrard

“Certain old-school managers wouldn’t have done that,” explains Morrison. “My agent spoke to another manager, in the Championship, who just said ‘No, he won’t fit in here.”
“Too many managers say no because they have a bad image of me from things ten years ago.”

Morrison never moved to Ibrox for whatever reason, but it looks like he spoke to the club. He would’ve posed a very interesting proposition in Scotland and it could’ve been the perfect stage for the 26 year old to resurrect his career.

Since leaving Man U Morrison has played in England, Italy and Mexico. He has recently signed a short-term deal with Swedish outfit Ostersunds.
