Rangers youth player Adam Devine has joined SPFL League Two club Brechin City on loan until the end of the season.
The 17-year-old right-back has represented Scotland at youth international level and is highly thought of at Ibrox.
Devine headed out of the club at the start of the month, joining League One outfit Partick Thistle for his first taste of senior football.
He was an unused substitute against Cove Rangers in the Jags’ first match back following a two-month league suspension on Saturday afternoon, but the loan stint came to an abrupt end on Tuesday.
The Rangers Youth Academy Twitter account confirmed the termination of Devine’s Thistle deal while simultaneously announcing that he had joined Brechin City until the end of the season.
Two other Gers prospects, Chris McKee and Harris O’Connor are already at Glebe Park, so a few familiar faces await him.

“Adam will be another great addition to the squad and he’s exactly what we’re looking for,” said manager Michael Paton [Brechincity.com]. “He is athletic and can get up and down the park – I feel he can provide what we’re missing in that final third. He has great awareness and quality of crossing.”
“Rangers feel he is on the same path as Nathan Paterson and have high hopes for him. Hopefully, he can come here and hit the ground running and help us push towards where we want to go.”
The young full-back could make his debut on Tuesday night as Brechin travel to Stranraer for a league fixture.
The City are currently bottom of the fourth tier with just four points from ten matches.
Devine isn’t the only talented youngster to leave Ibrox on loan this week, with another heading to the Championship to play for a Rangers hero.
