Rangers have beaten Celtic to two of the four reported major signings the club plans to make during this window.
Our rivals were also interested in Jermain Defoe. The 36 year old striker looks Ibrox bound, with Sky Sports breaking the story on Twitter yesterday.
Talksport had both Rangers and Celtic linked with the striker only a day ago too.

The Herald reported this morning that Rangers are set to confirm Dundee’s Glen Kamara on a pre-contract along with Kilmarnock’s Jordan Jones.
Glen Kamara was linked with Celtic back in mid-December
by the Daily Mail.
Both would represent major signings by Rangers. It’s just an added bonus that by signing them we also get one up on our biggest rivals. Rangers fans love a player who chooses Ibrox over Celtic Park. Just ask Nacho Novo.

Rangers make strong start to transfer window

Rangers have made a rampant start to the transfer window and Davis and Defoe will link up with their teammates next week, according to The Herald.

The deals for Steven Davis and Jermain Defoe have brought real excitement to Rangers fans. They might be in their mid-30s, but both players could be exactly what Rangers need.
On top of that, the same newspaper reports that pre-contract deals for Jordan Jones and Glen Kamara could be completed directly too.

Club insider Four Lads Had a Dream also suggests Rangers could well pounce this window if the price is right.
All four represent strong pieces of business by Rangers. But it’s always an added bonus to get one over on Celtic. Both will be well appreciated by the fans before they’ve even kicked a ball.
