Rangers are reportedly interested in Sunderland academy player Mason Cotcher, but they have to compete with Arsenal.
According to The Sunderland Echo, Rangers, Arsenal and Brighton and Hove Albion all are interested in Sunderland youngster Mason Cotcher.
Rangers and Arsenal linked with Sunderland youngster Mason Cotcher
Cotcher actually turned out for the Arsenal Under-18 side this past weekend.
The 17-year-old played for Arsenal against Middlesbrough in the Under-18s Premier League Cup competition.
The Sunderland Echo has reported that Cotcher, who plays primarily up-front, is on a scholarship deal at Sunderland at the moment.

Sunderland, who are aiming to win promotion from the Championship to the Premier League, want to keep the teenager.
The Black Cats offered Cotcher a contract at the start of the summer, but they could not reach an agreement with him.
My View: Rangers could struggle to sign Mason Cotcher
I personally do not think that Rangers will be able to convince Mason Cotcher to make the move.
That the teenager is already playing for the Arsenal Under-18 side shows how much the North London club like him and want him.
I think that Cotcher is likely to pick Arsenal over Rangers and Brighton and Hove Albion.
Of course, Rangers are a massive and historic club, but Arsenal play in the Premier League.
The 17-year-old could feel that if he did well for the Gunners’ youth team initially, he could get the chance to turn out for the senior sude.
Meanwhile, TEAMtalk has reported that former Rangers winger Ryan Kent has clubs in the Premier League interested in him.
Kent left Rangers at the end of last season on a free transfer.
The former Liverpool winger joined Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
Kent has struggled to make a huge impact at Fenerbahce, and TEAMtalk is now reporting that the former Rangers winger has clubs in the bottom half of the Premier League interested in signing him in the January transfer window.
