Rangers are reportedly set to swoop for St. Johnstone goalkeeper Zander Clark, at least according to Football Insider.
The news outlet claims to have an inside man which has told them of the interest. But there have been no other reports from other news outlets, so it’s hard to say whether this one is really a goer.
That said, the big goalkeeper has been in superb form for the Perthshire club this year. And Rangers appear ready to move for a stopper who can rival Allan McGregor.

Zander Clark isn’t the first goalkeeper Rangers have been linked with this summer. Kilmarnock goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann claimed he was unofficially approached by Rangers [originally Scottish Sun] but turned down the chance to move to Ibrox.

The big Austrian is on-loan from Watford and is determined to fight for his place with the Premier League outfit.
That means Rangers will turn their attention elsewhere with Clark seemingly on Steven Gerrard’s wish list.
Clark has been a major part of St. Johnstone’s season at times and his excellent shot-stopping ability has helped guide Tommy Wright’s men to 7th place in the table. There’s every chance they’ll top the bottom six group come to the end of the season.
If they do, you can bet Zander Clark, 26, will have had a big hand in doing so. And if the Football Insider report is to be believed, he could have a big hand in Rangers season next year too.
