The Rangers starting XI for tonight’s Premiership fixture against Hibernian at Ibrox has been confirmed.

The Gers are looking to pick up from where they left off on Sunday when they hammered Hearts 5-0 at the same venue.

Gio van Bronckhorst’s side come into this fixture one point behind leaders Celtic and a whopping 28 points ahead of Hibs, who are fifth.

Rangers have won both Premiership meetings between the two clubs this season, but Hibs did come out on top in a League Cup semi-final at Hampden in November.

Yesterday, the manager confirmed that Ryan Jack would miss out with a minor ankle injury, while Ianis Hagi is a long-term absentee, Filip Helander is still out and Aaron Ramsey isn’t yet fit enough to start.

However, he has still managed to select a strong-looking XI that features just one change from the weekend.

Allan McGregor continues between the sticks, while the back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and Calvin Bassey is retained.

The one change comes in midfield, with Glen Kamara replacing the injured Jack to join John Lundstram.

Scott Arfield also continues, as do Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent, while Alfredo Morelos is leading the line and will be looking to back up an outstanding showing against Hearts that saw him named the ‘Star Man’ in the SPFL’s Team of the Week.

Mateusz Zukowski has made a matchday squad for the first time since signing from Lechia Gdansk and he’s joined on the bench by fellow January signings Ramsey, James Sands and Amad Diallo.

Victory is essential for the home side if they are to keep the pressure on Celtic, who are taking on Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Meanwhile, Schalke sporting director Rouven Schroder has provided an update on Rangers-linked Martin Fraisl’s future.
