Rangers U18s slipped up on Friday afternoon by drawing 1-1 with Dundee United in the league, but exciting young striker Robbie Ure found the net once again.
Cameron Campbell’s side have been in excellent form in recent times, winning seven matches in a row coming into this one.
Rangers U18s leading the way in the league
They’re top of the table but their position is a precarious one given that main rivals United and Hibernian both have a number of games in hand, and they failed to take a golden chance to stretch their advantage here.
Charlie Lindsay dropped down from B team duty to take his place in midfield at Links Park but it was Dundee United who started the quicker of the two teams.

Robbie Ure on target again
There was a reaction from the visitors, though, and just 20 minutes later they were level through Ure.
Ure scored the winner against Hearts at Oriam earlier this week and the rangy 17-year-old striker continued his good form by capitalising on a poor punch from the opposition goalkeeper to finish from close range.

The score remained 1-1 until the interval and although Rangers made several changes in the second half in an effort to grab a winner, there would be no further goals.
The squad will no doubt be disappointed that their impressive win streak is over and rueing a missed opportunity to stretch their lead at the top of the table given that Hibs drew with Motherwell.
