Rangers are the 17th most popular football club in the world by Twitter interactions for the month of March as they land a prestigious top 20 place.

The Ibrox side are regularly and impressively landing top scores on social media platforms and each month the club appears to be recognised by Deportes&Finanzas.

The sports data research group’s latest insight into the world of football has revealed that Rangers are in the top 20 clubs on the leading social media platform.

Whilst the Gers are dwarfed by leaders Barcelona – Barca’s 13.7m interactions are over six times the number of Rangers’ 2.08m interactions – the stats remain impressive.

 

The Ibrox club have clearly been boosted by the fact Rangers won 55 last month and all the resultant celebrations and club media coverage in the aftermath of the victory.

Not only that, but the club’s foray into European football will have a had positive impact on the interactions whilst unfortunately, so will the fall out from the Slavia shame game.

Clubs from across the world pip Rangers – which is no shame – with the likes of River Plate, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Flamengo, Chennai and Fenerbahce finishing above the Ibrox side.

But in finishing 17th Rangers finished above the likes of cash-rich Man City, Ligue 1 side PSG, every Italian club, and even Old Firm rivals Celtic.

Well done to the club’s media team who have yet another achievement to add to their growing list of them as the Gers are recognised as one of the best on Twitter in the game.

Rangers have been trouncing Celtic on and off the pitch this season, as the statistics regarding both Instagram accounts goes to show.
