As Rangers head into a pivotal transfer window in January, transfer talk is already beginning to ramp up at Ibrox.
With the Gers going well in the league and on the European stage, Steven Gerrard will be eager not to upset the balance of the club’s squad in the coming window.

But even if Gerrard has suggested there will be more going out than coming in at the midway point of the season, it hasn’t stopped plenty of names being linked.
One such link does appear to be a goer though; 18-year-old Colombian striker Juan Alegria has revealed that Rangers are likely to be his next destination with the move imminent.
The buzzing striker is excited about following the path of Gers star Alfredo Morelos, and not just because he comes from the same country.
Like Morelos, Alegria would also come to Scotland via a spell in Finland and with the striker hoping to replicate the success of Radamel Falcao this is one signing the Gers will be excited about.
The club has also been linked with a move for Polish international striker Jakub Świerczok but any move for the Ludogorets forward will need to come at the season’s end with loan side Piast Gliwice having first dibs on the player [newonce.sport].
On top of that, there have also been dramatic links concerning a loan return for one-time Ibrox wonderkid and Chelsea star Billy Gilmour [Scottish Sun].
The story has since been rubbished by the likes of Jim White but it’s yet another link in a window which many Gers fans would probably prefer to be a quiet one.
Incomings should be minimal but it’s with regards outgoings that the Rangers support will be hoping the club close the shop window.
The likes of first-team stars James Tavernier, Borna Barisic and Glen Kamara have all been linked with moves out of the club.
Tavernier’s remarkable form has seen him linked with the likes of Spurs and Everton [Daily Mail], whilst Borna Barisic has been linked with a move to Premier League outfit Leeds United [Sportske Novosti].
Glen Kamara has most recently been linked with a move to Benfica whilst [TEAMtalk] but has been lmentioned alongside as many as 13 clubs in the past [TEAMtalk].

With Rangers going well on all-fronts selling one of these three in particular would be a considerable blow to their hopes this season so every supporter will be hoping they hold out until at least the summer.
That said, if one big-name asset is to leave in January, could it be the one whose departure is least likely to leave a gaping hole in the squad?
