Rangers manager Michael Beale has said that Alfredo Morelos is not going to stay at Ibrox beyond the end of the season.

Beale has told BBC Sport that Rangers have not offered a new contract to Morelos.

The Colombia international winger is out of contract at the Scottish Premiership club at the end of the season.

Rangers boss Beale has said that the Gers have not offered the 26-year-old a new deal.

Beale has added that Ryan Kent is in a similar position.

The former Liverpool winger is out of contract at Rangers at the end of the season, and the Gers have not offered him a new contract either.

Beale said about Morelos and Kent: “We haven’t come forward with a contract offer for either of them.

“And both of them have been free to speak to other clubs for a while now. We have had the conversations and we’re mutually in the same place about what should happen.”

Moving on

It seems that Alfredo Morelos is not going to stay at Rangers after this season.

The decision appears to have been made.

Beale himself described the striker as “fantastic” in March, but it appears that Rangers have decided to move on.

Now, while Morelos has been very good for Rangers over the years, he has not always been very consistent and has not performed the way you would have expected him in big games.

The 26-year-old has made 14 starts and 16 substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers this season.

Morelos has scored 11 goals and given five assists in those matches.
