Derek Ferguson isn’t afraid to speak his mind when it comes to Rangers.
The former Ibrox midfielder turned pundit is still incredibly passionate about the club he loves and served as a player for seven years before going on to watch wee brother Barry pull on the captain’s armband.
Now working in the media, he gets the chance to talk the club up when it is relevant to do so but also to admit when he has concerns.
He has certainly spoken his mind on several occasions over the last few years. And he has done so again.

Derek Ferguson blasts Rangers Samuel Edozie transfer near miss
Gers made an attempt to sign Southampton winger Samiel Edozie on loan at the end of the summer transfer window. Indeed, at one stage it looked like it was done.
The 21-year-old was keen on the switch to work under Philippe Clement but a deal couldn’t be done before the deadline and he was left in limbo. Saints boss Russell Martin blamed his old club Rangers.
Ferguson is inclined to believe the former Scotland international as he believes Gers are being “run like a circus.”
He told Ibrox News: “I’ve not got a clue (what happened), but Russell has come out and he says it was Rangers’ fault and do you know something? He’s probably right.
“It’s been a bit of a circus at the moment. There’s so many things where Rangers let themselves down big time. And that just looks like another one.
“So if Russell Martin’s come out and said that, do you know something? I believe him.
“Rangers probably have been at fault, as they have been with a number of issues over the course of the last number of years, so that wouldn’t surprise me one single bit.”
What Russell Martin said about Rangers and Edozie
At the time, Martin said: What frustrated me was how late it fell through and it wasn’t on our end. I think it’s a bit unfair to Sam really. It’s a bit disappointing but it is what it is.
“Every club has their prerogative and their priorities in the transfer window. I was gutted for Sam because it was too late to then find another opportunity to go and play football.
“He’ll get to work like everyone else now. Get his head down, work really hard and try and get himself into the squad and into the team.”
