Rangers could certainly use a free-scoring striker after a season defined by big opportunities missed by their three current options.
Cyriel Dessers gets in the neck from Rangers fans routinely enough, with the Ibrox hitman once again spurning chances as Rangers fell to defeat against Hibs.
There are also complaints about how Barry Ferguson is using Hamza Igamane, with the Moroccan striker being employed off the left.
Throw Danilo’s abysmal injury record into the mix and suddenly Rangers have three forwards who are not firing on all cylinders.
But one would-be Ibrox target has just shown Rangers exactly what they’re missing by channeling his inner Dennis Bergkamp with a beautiful touch and finish.

Tommy Conway channels Dennis Bergkamp with stunning goal
Middlesbrough striker Tommy Conway has had an impressive season in the English Championship ever since moving to Tyneside at the beginning of the campaign.
Netting 11 goals in 29 Championship games heading into the Friday night clash with Blackburn, the Scotland international would make it 12 with a quite remarkable finish.
In only the second minute of the game at Ewood Park, Conway flicked the ball over the head of the outrushing Blackburn defender and lashed it into the bottom right-hand corner.
It’s a stunning finish which has earned Tommy Conway comparisons to the great Dennis Bergkamp.
We’ll let you make your own mind up over whether or not the 22-year-old’s stunning effort is in the same category as the great Dutchman’s famous goal v Newcastle in 01/02.
Rangers were linked to Tommy Conway before £5m move
Rangers were linked to Tommy Conway back in January 2024 as the club looked to sign a new striker.
Conway’s deal at Bristol City was entering its final 18 months and the Robins were looking to either tie the hitman down or cash in.
Heading into the summer, with the striker yet to sign a new deal at Ashton Gate, Rangers were once again linked with a move before the Gers plunged for Hamza Igamane.
Conway then wound up moving to Middlesbrough in a £5m deal and hasn’t looked back ever since.
